CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
Dental professionals should follow the Professional Codes of Conduct from the handbook ‘Standards of the Dental Team’. The new enhanced CPD scheme asks you to reflect more on your professional needs, field of practices and your patients, so that CPD activities become meaningful and related to your job role.
The GDC requires each registrant to make an annual declaration of their CPD. In addition to CPD every dentist is required to have a Personal Development Plan or PDP. More details on Enhanced CPD scheme 2018 (gdc-uk.org)
